Tower Hamlets Faith COVID Assistance Partnership
The Faith COVID Assistance Partnership was a project from FaithAction, working with East London Mosque.
The project has now ended, but over 40 faith settings benefitted from supplies of Covid-19 infection prevention items and essential guidance on Covid-19 issues.
The Partnership is supported by the Tower Hamlets Inter Faith Forum and funded by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
We are supporting all faith settings in Tower Hamlets to be able to provide COVID-secure worshipping, by ensuring that buildings comply with government guidance to keep all worshippers and visitors safe.
The Faith COVID Assistance Partnership works with faith settings to help them to maintain a safe environment, and to ensure those that are closed can be prepared to welcome people back.
So far we have provided over twenty faith settings with vital infection prevention items, including Collingwood Islamic and Cultural Centre and Bishops Way Mosque (pictured).
The team is made up of three Faith Engagement Officers who are very happy to assist all faith settings with their needs and concerns with all things related to COVID-19.
